Mahindra & Mahindra has stopped taking new orders for its new XUV500 for the time being, saying that the waiting period has already reached four months.
The new vehicle is available only in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Pune.

In a statement the company said, “This (temporary suspension) has been necessitated due to the overwhelming response to the newly- launched XUV5OO.”
M&M has temporarily postponed new orders since 11 October.
