Following Nissan Motor’s announcement this week that it would relocate its Infiniti luxury brand’s headquarters in Hong Kong, the Japanese business daily Nikkei reported the automaker is planning a factory in Hubei province with its Chinese joint venture partner Dongfeng Motor.

Infiniti models are currently made by Nissan plants in Tochigi and Fukuoka prefectures in Japan with combined annual capacity of about 200,000 units, said the Nikkei.
