Mahindra Forgings has said its UK unit, Stokes Group Ltd., will close its manufacturing facility at Walsall, West Midlands, by the end of April, due to slower demand in Europe for its products.

Mahindra Forgings said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange that the closure will impact 137 jobs.
Stokes Group will supply products to its current customers from its other two manufacturing facilities at Dudley and Brierley Hill, Mahindra Forgings said.
