As reported by just-auto last week, AvtoVAZ was forced to suspend production because suppliers had refused to ship components after a change in the way they would be paid.

AvtoVAZ had said that, from the beginning of February, 70% of its supplies would be paid for with its own bills of exchange.

On Friday, AvtoVAZ president Boris Alyoshin was quoted saying that seven suppliers had suspended their shipments but, according to Prime-Tass, production has now resumed. However, it was unclear if the payment dispute had been resolved.
