CHILE: Nissan Marubeni aims for 30 percent sales increase in 2001
Nissan Marubeni is aiming to increase sales by 30% this year, having sold 4,717 cars in 2000. The company will focus on the Sentra 1.8, expected to sell 2,500 units this year. The second half will see the company launch a new sport utility vehicle in Chile. Nissan total vehicle sales in 2000 were 8,409 units, down 17.2% on 1999. Market share declined from 9.7% to 7.7%.
