Chinese engine maker Weichai Power has said it has no interest in buying a GM Parts plant in France, denying media reports.

GM said last year that it intended to sell its plant in Strasbourg and saw possible interest from Asia.


French media this week named Weichai as a potential buyer.


“The board would like to state that the contents of such an article have no basis in fact. The company does not have any intention to make such an acquisition,” Weichai said in a statement.
