First Automobile Works (FAW) Group, China’s largest car maker, exported vehicles
worth $US102.4 million last year, a rise of over 80 percent from 1999.

The Changchun-based company earned around $US39 million from complete vehicle
exports in 2000, 2.5 times the figure achieved in 1999.
