The Argentinean Automaker’s Association (Adefa) has announced that 14,138 vehicles were produced in February, 9.9 percent more than the 12,860 units made in January, writes Rogério Louro Alves.
However, Argentine car sales decreased by 18.3 percent from 18,973 units in January to 15,504 in February.

Argentine manufacturers exported 9,147 vehicles in February, a decrease of 23.4 percent over the 11,947 units shipped in January.
When compared with February 2000, results were also disappointing with production down 31.9 percent and sales off 42.2 percent.
The only bright note was a 59.1 percent increase in exports for February compared with the same month in 2000.
