Toyota has recalled 57,300 vehicles in Turkey as part of its global campaign to fix a faulty accelerator pedal.

In a message on its web site, Toyota Turkey asked customers to contact its dealerships for a repair that would take about half an hour.

The company did not say which of its models had been recalled in Turkey but local media reports said the reclal affected Auris, Verso, Corolla and Yaris cars made between 2005 and 2010.

Toyota’s Turkish plant builds Corolla sedans and the Verson MPV/minivan derivative.

Toyota has so far recalled over 8m cars worldwide.
