Delphi has announced a co-development agreement with Brilliance China Automotive Holdings to supply Jinbei-branded vehicles with engine management systems over the next four years.
Production of these vehicles will begin in September 2001 and the agreement covers four model years. The deal is worth approximately $US50 million.

The EMS project with Brilliance involves 11 items including the engine control module, throttle body, fuel pump and rail assembly, ignition, purge canister and various sensors.
The engine management systems will be used on 2.2-litre engines scheduled for autumn production.
Around 70 percent of the system components will be manufactured in the Beijing Delphi WanYuan EMS facility and the Delphi Delco Electronics plant in Suzhou, China.
Brilliance sold more than 62,000 Jinbei-branded light commercial vehicles last year and is expanding its range to include sedans, MPVs, SUVs, mini-buses, coaches, pickup trucks and light-duty trucks.
