Subaru
maker Fuji Heavy Industries plans to double sales by introducing new models developed
with part-owner General Motors and improving its dealer network.

strong in SUVs, compacts and mid-sized cars, Fuji lacks a model between its
tiny Japanese kei-class sub-compacts and the compact Impreza. It plans to plug
the gap with a model developed jointly with GM.
