Daihatsu – a company controlled by Toyota – has said it will recall almost 275,000 vehicles, mainly in Japan, due to defects including a missing or loose bolt in the suspension system.
The recall also includes loose fuel hoses and defective brake lights, but Daihatsu stressed that no accidents have been reported due to the defective parts.

The recalls mainly involve Daihatsu’s Hijet, Hijet Deck Van and Atrai wagon manufactured for the Japanese domestic market between 2004 and 2009. Around 450 of the affected vehicles have been exported.
Daihatsu also recalled small numbers of its Mira and Move Conte models for defective engine breather hoses, and the Hijet refrigerating minivan for a defective light cable.
