Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin has supported a proposal to allocate RUB1.043bn for the Samara regional government as compensation for carmaker AvtoVAZ’ social facilities that were transferred to the municipal government, Itar-Tass reported.

Deputy prime minister Igor Shuvalov told Putin that 35 AvtoVAZ social facilities were transferred to municipal and federal governments in 2009. The social facilities include nursery schools and sports facilities.
