General Motors signed an agreement with Sichuan Southwest Automobile Trading on
Monday (4/12/00) giving them the right to sell imported GM cars in Western China,
says Xinhua News Service (5/12/00).
Quoting the director of GM China, George Green, Xinhua reported that GM sees
great market potential in the Western regions and has decided to ship more products
to the area.
