Guangzhou Automobile plans to roll out its first self-developed car later this year, according to reports.
Reuters cited remarks by the company’s group vice general manager.
The report also said that Guangzhou Automobile is set to sign a cooperation deal with a small automaker in Zhejiang province later this month.
Local media said it had reached an initial agreement to take a controlling stake in Chinese vehicle maker Gonow Auto.
