Andersson will focus on continuing to improve the quality of the company’s products, increasing management efficiency and ensuring the company’s long-term competitiveness.
Welcoming the appointment, Oleg Deripaska said: “Our goal is not only to survive the crisis but also to come out with new products and better quality. We expect Mr Andersson to implement this strategy and as a working chairman he will also be responsible for day-to-day operations”.

At GM, Andersson was responsible for the company’s global purchasing and supply chain.
