Car sales in the US outpaced those of light trucks last month for the first time since January, according to Autodata Corp.
A 1.2 per cent rise in car sales was registered in June from a year ago, while light truck sales rose 0.2 per cent. A total of 1.61 million cars and light trucks were sold in the US last month, a 0.7 per cent increase from a year ago.
