Audi has purchased more land around its car and engine plant in Hungary, doubling its holding to 400 hectares.
A company spokesman confirmed that Audi had purchased the land for EUR25m (US$33m) but did not disclose any plans for the site.

Sources in the Hungarian government have told local media that Audi plans to expand TT sports car production in Hungary although there have also been reports that the company is planning to make the Gyoer plant an important logistics and research centre.
