Prices differ by country but will be around EUR33,000 (US$42,000; GBP27,000) including batteries.
The car had been priced at GBP38,699 for the UK last March but Nissan has since weighed in with its much larger Leaf at just GBP28,350 before UK government incentives of up to GBP5,000.
MMC said final i-MiEV cost to the customer after government incentives where applicable, would be under EUR30,000 in most markets.
The automaker is also producing versions for PSA’s Peugeot and Citroen brands on an OEM basis.
