Volvo’s application to become a member of the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) has been accepted by the Brussels-based organisation.
“We welcome Volvo Cars and are convinced the company will make a valuable contribution to the work of our association”, said ACEA secretary general Ivan Hodac.

Volvo Car Corporation already has established relations with ACEA while part of Ford.
“We are looking forward to continue our partnership with the other major European automobile manufacturers in the fields of EU regulation and industrial policy at large,” said Volvo president and CEO Stefan Jacoby.
“Joining the European automotive association is an important step and reflects our strong European roots.”
