Chery sold 10,360 vehicles overseas in August, over twice the number in the previous year, and accounting for 40% of China’s overall passenger car exports for the month.
Chairman Yin Tongyao also told Reuters the company had no timetable for a public listing but added it would definitely not seek an IPO this year. “We are not in a hurry to go public. We have plenty of cash in hand, and also the stock market is not so good this year.”
