The plant will operate four days per week from Tuesday until February 2010, Prime Tass reported. It switched to two shifts from three on 22 September 22.
Recent press reports said Ford Russia had threatened to lay off over 500 employees if plant workers did not agree to change to a four-day workweek. The plant has 2,200 staff and assembles the Focus and Mondeo.
