ASM Holding said that of the total, car output fell 62.4% on the year to 422,767 units, while truck output fell 71.7% on the year to 61,717 units.
Of the total car output, output of Russian-brand cars fell 67.4% on the year to 218,993 units, while the output of foreign-brand cars fell 55.1% on the year to 203,774 units.
Companies operating under industrial assembly agreements produced 139,398 cars in the period, down 50.4% on the year.
The large output drops this year reflect the severe impact of the recession on vehicle demand in Russia.
