Workers at Opel’s Corsa plant at Figueruelas, near Zaragoza, in Spain will hold four one-day strikes in protest at job and production cuts included in Magna’s proposed takeover of the automaker, a union leader has said.

“We want to tell GM and Magna that they have to modify their plan for Figueruelas in accordance with the size and history of the plant,” the union boss at the plant, Jose Juan Arceiz, told Reuters.


The strikes will be held on 28 and 30 October and 3 and 5 November, Arceiz said.
