Nissan is to assemble its X-trail SUV at its plant in St Petersburg, a local report said today.

Prime-Tass said production would begin at the end of this month.
The plant, which produces Teana cars, has a capacity of 50,000 cars per year.
Earlier this month it was reported that Nissan was to assemble Bluebird Sylphy cars at the AvtoVAZ plant in Tolyatti. Up to 70,000 of the cars will be made annually after production starts late in 2012.
