MAN says no decision has yet been taken concerning any potential tie-up with Scania following media speculation.
“It is well known MAN and Scania are seeking closer industrial co-operation in order to realize considerable synergy opportunities – both companies are in discussions in this regard,” a statement from MAN said.

“Both parties are focused on creating value for their shareholders and other stakeholders and are pursuing this with mutually friendly intentions. At the same time, both sides are committed to maintaining the operating businesses and the unique brand values of the respective companies. This would be the basis for any possible option pursued by MAN.”
Discussions are still at an early stage, noted the statement adding “no decisions” had yet been taken.
