Chinese car exports increased by 73.47% in October 2010 over October 2009′s sales figures according to statistics released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

The statistics show that China’s automotive exports are still growing and the market has recovered from its turbulent years in 2009 and 2008. A total of 50,100 vehicles left Chinese ports in October 2010, passenger vehicle exports rose by 14.76% in October to 27,200 units, commercial vehicles also saw an increase year on year to 22,800 but saw a slight drop from Septembers sales of 5.53%.

By November, China’s total vehicle exports stood at 434,000 units – an impressive increase of over 74% over the same period in 2009 but still out trumped by the number of vehicle imports into China.

In the first ten months this year, China’s vehicle exports reached 434,400 units, up 74.74% compared to the same period last year.

Chery Auto was ranked first in terms of auto export volume in the same period, followed by Changan Auto, Great Wall Motor, Dongfeng Motor and BAIC.

Chinese automakers exported 50,100 vehicles in October, a year-on-year increase of 73.47%, the Beijing News reported Monday, citing data recently released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

Chery was the largest exporter in terms of volume over the period, whilst Chang’an, Great Wall Motor, Dongfeng and BAIC were following close behind.
