Scooter specialist Piaggio has agreed a deal with Toyota unit Daihatsu Motor to provide powertrains for the Italian firm’s Porter range of light vehicles.

According to a Reuters report, the deal also widens Daihatsu’s supply of parts and components for new models in Piaggio’s Porter and Quargo ranges.
Piaggio has also agreed an eight-year supply deal with Indian construction equipment and engine maker Greaves Cotton, according to the news agency.
