AvtoVAZ has begun supplying supplying assembly kits for Lada 4×4 vehicles to its Egyptian plant.
Russia’s largest car maker told Prime-Tass it supplied 48 kits in February and the same number in March.
AvtoVAZ plans to supply around 5,300 kits to the plant this year, including about 900 for Lada 4×4 vehicles.
Lada Egypt company plans to start assembly of 4×4 vehicles sometime the June-August period, according to the report.
Lada Egypt’s plant was launched in 2006 and currently assembles the 2107. In 2007, AvtoVAZ supplied 3,312 kits to the plant.
