The most popular models in the period were the Mercedes-Benz C-class with 667 cars sold, and the Mercedes-Benz S-class with 263 cars sold, the company said.


In 2007, Mercedes-Benz’ sales in Russia amounted to 15,330 units.


In the same period, Mercedes’ rival Lexus reported near flat sales. Sales of Lexus cars in Russia rose 0.8% on the year to 2,705 units in January-March.
