Thomson Financial, citing daily France-Soir, said the plant is in Sandouville. The paper got its information from a labour union official following a meeting with management.


The move will result in 300 layoffs, the report said.


The paper reportedly quoted the official as saying the plant is falling short of its expected contribution to Renault’s operating margin goals.
