Gordon
Poynter, MG Rover’s director of communications and public affairs, Gordon Poynter,
has been appointed commercial director of new MG Rover Holdings subsidiary Powertrain
Limited.

That company is the engine and transmission operation at MG Rover’s Longbridge
plant near Birmingham which was recently acquired from BMW.
It employs 1300 people and its K-series engine customers include Land Rover,
Lotus, MG and Rover.
