German auto-maker BMW has cancelled plans to produce the Z9 convertible supercar, say Scottish news reports (15/10/00).
According to the report, adverse reactions to initial viewings, criticism of its design alongside rumours of declining standards at BMW contributed to the decision to cancel production.
