The Korean company said it plans to build a factory that will be dedicated to producing parts for hybrid cars before a hybrid version of the mid-sized sedan Sonata goes into production in 2010.

The Herald also reported that going forward, the company will focus on developing the motor and the integrated package module for hybrid vehicles. It will invest 100bn won (US$69.5m) by 2012 in hybrid-related areas.
