Michelin, as The Ford Motor Company plans to let customers choose their tire brand
on the 2002 Explorer SUV.

Following the tire recall,
the future looks bleak for Firestone. A Ford spokeswoman said about the tires,
"Consumers will ultimately decide and Ford would not be surprised if the
