The Aygo has exterior changes and some interior upgrades but the new nose styling is not as obvious as on the Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107 which both gained more prominent grilles and chrome trim.


The base one-litre engine is more fuel-efficient with lower CO2 emissions.


The updated Aygo follows other new models destined for Europe – the iQ, Urban Cruiser and redesigned Avensis.


“The Aygo 2009 is part of an unprecedented Toyota product offensive, including a total of 13 new models, throughout the course of 2009,” the automaker said.
