GM Uzbekistan plans to annually produce 30,000 Chevrolet Lacetti cars, including 5,000 for export. This year, the plant expects to produce up to 3,000 Chevrolet Lacetti cars. It could reach the target production capacity by the end of 2011.


GM Uzbekistan was set up earlier this year. GM holds 25% plus one share in the joint venture and has an option to increase its stake to 40%. Uzavtoprom holds the remaining 75%.


Earlier this year, GM Uzbekistan began building a new Nexia model, the Nexia-2.
