It said on Tuesday it would recall 52,047 Outlander and Grandis vehicles made from May 2005 to April 2008 for sale in Japan and further 150,000 overseas.


If the brake light system fails, the gear selector may lock in the ‘park’ position, the automaker said in a mandatory report to the transport ministry.


Dealers will replace the faulty parts free of charge.
