Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., has stopped manufacturing its existing Civic models and the new Civic models will arrive at its 4S stores by the middle of January, according to information from the company’s distributors.
Meanwhile, the Xinhua news agency reported that Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd has given the Joyear TT name to its first 2-door Fengxing 1.8T Joyear and has set the time for its release.
The new car will be equipped with the 1.8T Kavachi engine that is ‘made of aluminum alloy used in aircraft engines’.
The ‘super-high-pressure electronic turbo-charge technology’ of the engine reduces considerably the fuel consumption and allows the car to run for 100km with only 6.0L of fuel, the report said. In addition, the engine’s power capacity is equal to or even surpasses that of the 2.4L or 2.5L engines, the report added.
