Ford do Brasil has offered voluntary redundancy to all administration staff who
have until August 7 to accept the deal, writes Rogério Louro Alves.
Ford expects about 160 workers to sign up for the voluntary redundancy programme
which is part of a restructuring plan to reduce costs.

Last week, to reduce production and finished vehicle inventory, Ford sent 3,000
workers at its plant in São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo state,
off on a two-week compulsory holiday.
