Kim, 51, was vice president of international business division at Hyundai Mobis in Korea and succeeds BK Jang who has returned to Korea.


After a spell as general manager of export parts at Hyundai Motor Company, Kim joined Mobis Parts Europe in Belgium as managing director in 1997. He was based in the USA from 1990 to 1994 where he was the senior parts co-ordinator for Hyundai Motors America.


“It’s now my job to ensure that Kia Motors (UK) Limited continues towards its goal of 100,000 units per year,” Kim said.
