Volkswagen has no interest in acquiring Chrysler or expanding cooperation accords, according to a report on Friday.
“There is no such consideration here,” a Chrysler spokeswoman told Reuters.
The news agency said VW joins a growing list of companies to rule themselves out as a strategic partner for Chrysler – Hyundai Motor, Mitsubishi Motors, Fiat and the Renault-Nissan Motor alliance have all rejected a tie-up.
Reports earlier this week said that General Motors had begun talks with Chrysler on an acquisition or a strategic alliance.
