European-made Fiat and Citroen vans imported and distributed in Australia by the same company have scored well in the latest annual mode ratings by a local light commercial vehicle magazine.
Delivery magazine named the redesigned Fiat Ducato its 2007 medium van of the year, citing design excellence, all-round ability and value for money as the key attributes that put the model ahead of rivals from Europe and Japan.
The Ducato beat 2006 winner, the Volkswagen Transporter, as well as the Mercedes Vito, the Ford Transit and Toyota’s HiAce just months after being launched in both Australia and New Zealand by importer Ateco.
The firm also imports the Citroën Berlingo which the magazine voted its small van of the year.
