Another senior Chrysler executive has jumped ship – after 24 years – and will start at Kia Motors’ US unit later this week.

Kia Motors America said Tom Loveless, most recently Chrysler’s director of market volume planning responsible for all retail and fleet sales planning in the United States, would be joining it as vice president of sales on 20 June.

At Kia, Loveless will report to Len Hunt, executive vice president and chief operating officer, who has handled the company’s sales functions since February 2006.

Loveless’ previous posts at Chrysler included director, Dodge brand marketing and communications; director, US field sales operations; and director, sales and service, Washington, DC zone.

“We look forward to integrating Tom’s strong sales and marketing experience and proven leadership approach into our executive management team,” said Hunt.
