“There is a possibility that we will be able to sell 10,000 units of our cars in the Indian market in view of the growth being witnessed by luxury and premium car segments in the country,” Volvo Car Corporation overseas operations president Peter Cornelis was quoted as saying on the Hindu News Service website.
Volvo, which entered India with the S80 sedan and XC90 SUV, also said the luxury car market there has been growing at 30% and would double by 2009 due to organic growth, upgrades and improved infrastructure.
