Mazda Motor Europe has named Shunsuke Hamamoto managing director and Wojciech Halarewicz general manager of the new national sales company (NSC) scheduled to begin operations in Poland early next year.
Hamamoto is heading the establishment of the NSC and Halarewicz will be responsible for sales operations and coordinating the ongoing process of recruiting dealers.
The new company has been officially registered as Mazda Motor Logistics Europe Sp z o o Oddzial w Polsce.
Hamamoto, 45, has headed the Polish NSC project since last February. He was previously general manager of the global product marketing department in Mazda Motor Corporation but worked in Europe for six years in the 1990s as product marketing manager.
Halarewicz, 35, moved from Fiat Auto Poland where he was general manager. Prior to that he held various posts within Fiat both in Poland, where he was sales director, and in Italy.
