Hyundai plans to commence trial production in Brazil from September this year, according to AutoData.

The plant is operated by Hyundai Montadora de Veículos, a division of Grupo Caoa, and is located in the city of Anápolis, state of Goiás.
The company has invested $30m in a new paint plant. A total of $100m will be invested in the plant. 70% of the investment has been made and the operation will start hiring from May.
Full production of the Hyundai HR light truck is due to start in December 2006 or January 2007, and six months later a passenger car will be added to production.
The plant will have a 130,000-unit capacity, and is aiming to produce up to 60,000 annually within three years.
