Renault Samsung plans to export some 30,000 SM3 vehicles under the Nissan badge this year, about 20% of the carmaker’s sales target for this year (which is 150,000 units).
In addition to the 1,694 vehicles exported yesterday, more will be shipped to the Middle East, Central and South America.
Renault Samsung began exporting its SM5 midsize sedans in September 2000. Last year, the nation’s smallest automaker sold 3,610 cars abroad, 3% of its total sales volume.
