Dana Corporation on Thursday said it would continue supplying full-perimeter frames (chassis) for the redesigned 2007 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator, as well as the new Expedition EL and Navigator L derivatives.

The frames will be produced using Dana’s proprietary RoboClamp technology, which allows it to hydroform rail lengths of up to four metres (about 13 feet). This, the supplier noted, is significant because the Expedition EL will be more than 18 feet long.
Dana has supplied Expedition and Navigator frames since introduction in 1997 and also makes transmission oil coolers, various gaskets, and fluid-transfer products for some versions.
