The lengthened 300 will be built by limousine maker Accubuilt in Ohio.

The basic long-wheelbase car – six inches longer – will have items like illiminated rear writing tables, more power outlets, footrests and special paint colours.

Available engines will include the SWB car’s 3.5-litre V6 and 340-hp, 5.7-litre Hemi V8.

There’s no word yet on whether the LWB models will be exported, made with right hand drive or get diesel engines. Chrysler assembles the RHD and diesel models in Austria.
